King’s Scout Award 2024
The King’s Scout Award is the top achievement for Explorer Scouts and Scout Network members and comprises a variety of activities to complete. This weekend, one of our leaders Katie Schollar achieved her King’s Scout Award.
Katie started at 4th Worth from a very young age, even before Beavers thanks to Scouting being an important part of her family’s life. She progressed through Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Young Leaders and now Network. She has always strived to exceed expectations and pushes the boundaries of what’s possible as a Leader in Scouting.
The King’s Scout Award has numerous activities that must be completed before age 25, and Katie achieved them 4 years earlier than that! These include:
- Completing 18 nights away with Scouting
- Complete six different activities relating to International, Community and Values
- Hold the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award (or complete similar requirements)
- Make a presentation covering all elements of your efforts for the award
A massive congratulations to Katie! You can find a variety of pictures below receiving her award and visiting Windsor Castle to meet the Royal Family as well as Bear Grylls.
