National Scout Rifle Championships 2023
The 45th National Scout Rifle Championships were held over the October 21st-22nd weekend in Bisley.
This year’s team representing 4th Worth stayed in a warm and cosy old railway carriage, along with many facilities including a club room, on the old railway platform near Bisley.
The shooting itself went very well, with no few than eight taking part in the Sporter class and five in the precision air rifle class. Our total team was 21 Scouts, Explorers and Leaders!
It was a very succesful weekend for us, despite over 800 Scouts taking part in this championship, we returned home with the best five precision shooters!
- Courtney
- Max
- Ben
- Harley
- Jasmine
The most improved air rifle shooter was Jasmine.
The best two in precision, 3-positional, shooting (i.e. kneeling, prone and standing) were Harley in 1st and Max in 2nd.
The best prone shooter (rim fire •22) was Max in first place.
In class A prone shooter (rim fire •22), Ben achieved 2nd place.
The mother and son team, Gemma and Jack, both tied in 4th place in the own pistol.
